Statement condemning attack on US

Statement No: 3 (9/01)

Thousands of innocent lives (American and others) were lost because of the ruthless and cowardly terrorist operations launched against two towers of the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington on 11September.

The American people together with people from other countries suffered such great loss in such a short space of time because of this detestable assault at a time when the nation is at peace and unprepared (no war was declared).Our hearts go out to them with great sympathy.

Such terrorist activities have no justification whatsoever. We unequivocally condemn this despicable and incomparable evil crime.
