South Koreans Indicted for Burma Arms Export
7 December 2006 (VOA) – South Korean prosecutors have indicted 14 people on charges of illegally exporting technology and equipment to Burma to help build an artillery plant.
Prosecutors say the people worked at South Korean companies and drew up documents to disguise the exports as non weapons related equipment.
They say the plant in Burma is not yet complete, but is believed to have the capacity to manufacture six types of artillery rounds.
