As of december 8, 2001, the total is 3285, including 224 members of the European Parliament. . It also includes 65 members of the United States Congress (18 Senators and 47 House of Representatives of the 106th Congress, who co-sponsored the concurrent resolution on Burma ----- S. Con. Res. 113 and H. Con. Res. 328 respectively, expressing the sense of the Congress in recognition of the 10th anniversary of the free and fair elections in Burma and the urgent need to improve the democratic and human rights of the people of Burma).

On November 29, 2000, The House of Assembly of the Parliament of Tasmania also unanimously passed a motion in support of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and Burma's struggle for democracy and freedom. There are 25 members in the Tasmanian House of Assembly.

The Members of Parliament Union (MPU) will continue the 'MP Campaign' until December 2001.
